The best grilled beef in town! Why waste beef fat when you can fry it with rice?!?!?!Located in a small area of Singapore called Swan Lake (love the name) houses a cosy shop called "Garang Grill". This is a sister company or the famous seafood place in Singapore far far North (I think...not sure lah i never go to that seafood place, I stay around Siglap).
The owner invested a huge sum of money on the bbq machine to make the perfect steak.
The Steak: man its the best western style that I have ever had (aside from kobe/ A5 steak) compared to the ones in Thailand, HK, Vietnam, France, UK, US. The charred-ness is made to look sooooooo beautiful like how you see a your favorite celebrity waving at you. It has this smokiness aroma and when the meat touches your tongue, the beef is tender and abit chewy at the same time. Remember to try it with the salt they serve you. Brings out the flavour much moreee.
the RICE: Remember how you were a kid and your parents tell you "Eh dont waste food ah girl"? This place takes "not to waste food" to the next level. You know when you cook beef and theres some beef fats leaving on the grill? yeah those ones are used to fry the rice for you. You can either have it with chilli or no chilli, I prefer the chilli version because it cuts through the greasiness after taste. (Remember chilli burns calories lol - finding excuses to feel less guilty after inhaling such a great meal)
The lamb; Most lambs have this gamey smell, this one has a tinge of it which is pretty great. The meat is so tender that when your teeth sinks into the meat it just disintegrates.
Must try the crab with mantou side dish. Its very unique and good appetizers while waiting for the godmode beef.
