เมนูของร้าน เจ๊ไฝ ประตูผี
A must try for foodieBeing the first Michelin-starred street food in Thailand, this place is on the list for local and traveller foodies alike. Reservation: You can call to reserve in advance; however we had no luck. We tried calling in the morning, at noon, in the evening. No one picked up. Some days the phone is even off. The wait: Expect total wait to be 3-4 hours for dinner. Put your name on the queue book as soon as you get there. Even better if you order a Line man to queue for you. After you get your name called and you place the order, expect to wait another hour for the cooking. Jay Fai is the only chef and she cooks table by table, dish by dish. Food: Glorified street food with premium ingredients. The base taste was exactly like what you'd expect if you order the same dish from a regular street vendor. The key differentiators are the ingredients and the unique charred aroma from her charcoal stove. My favorite dish was Kua Ta Lay. The flat noodles were fried perfectly with just the right amount of crispiness. Least favorite and disappointing dish was Jok Hang (rice porridge). The rice was way too sticky and clumped together. Unpleasant texture. Price: We ordered 6 dishes for 5 people. Came out to be a bit less than 1,000 per person, which I thought was very reasonable. Verdict: Would go back again for the Kua Ta Lay. Gotta fine the trick on the killer waiting time though.... อ่านต่อ
