Seafood at its best.Have been coming back here since I was a kid living in Singapore and will have to visit this place everytime I go back home!
Love this place because its not the tourist trap. you can see many locals here which means its a true Singaporean taste and price!
The must haves are the curry crab and pepper crab. Im in the import export crab business and I have to eat crabs whenever I am here. So imagine how good it is. If you order curry crab you MUST get the mantou buns to scoop every last drop of the curry. The curry crab can be messy but worth the thickness, saltiness and tinge of sweetness of yhe curry. Its abit hot...but im Thai so might be too hot for alot of people. But my favorite is the pepper crab. The pepper crabs in Thailand are soggy and taste disgusting. The ones here are crispy, flavorful and pretty hot that it burns the back of your throat. Pretty good because pepper burns calories lah, so no need to feel guilty for eating this big meal here mah.
Sotong squid here is very unique. I usually hate any savory food that is sweet but the squid here is taste like childhood where its abit sweet and crispy. A must try for people who like something different.
Youtiai squid is also sooooo good esp with the sotong soft and bouncy on one side and the youtiao itself soooo crispy.
Sambal Kangkong here is not for the faint hearted, they are very generous with their sambal and spice. It just hits the spot for me!
