Situated on Murrumbeena Rd, Citizen Cafe is a friendly and homely cafe furnished with warm wooden interior.
With tables outside for you to enjoy the natural breeze when it’s not too cold 🥶 (but they do have comfy blankets available for you to wrap yourself around with), there are also tables inside the warm heated cafe both in the front area as well as in the next room towards the inner area of the cafe.

❤️: Looking at their menu selection, I couldn’t choose what to get since I knew everything would make such an awesome spread and sounded amazingly tasty. Well, I had to choose something (can’t eat everything on their menu, of course 😂).

We had the Banana Pancakes 🍌🥞 with buckwheat, tahini, maple syrup 🍁, mascarpone, and berries 🍓. The texture was really interesting. Instead of the light fluffy ones you normally get, it’s more like a butter cake texture, in which I LOVE 😍. Makes you feel like you’re eating banana cake, but better. This order is a must here!
Next with the Truffled Mushrooms 🍄. Oh god, the truffle aroma as it’s being prepared in the kitchen is so strong and pleasant it would make you salivate even before the actual dish reached the table.
Then we had the Poke Bowl—something light and healthy, perfect to eat with an indulgent dish like the Banana Pancakes 😂. Loved the confit salmon 💕, wish I could’ve asked for more.
