📝: Rocco’s Bologna Discoteca started off as a pop-up takeaway joint during lockdown. Their popular saucy Italian sangas were a hit, thus owners (also the team behind Poodle Bar & Bistro) decided to pop-down permanently on Gertrude Street.
❤️: The daytime food menu stars Rocco’s beloved 🥪 sandwiches, namely the signature meatball sub. The bread was a little too stale for my liking but the meatballs and the 🥫 sauce were AMAZING. If you love sugo / tomato based sauce, you’ll love it!
Their 🍖🍞 Bone Marrow Garlic bread was crispy on the outside, 🧈 buttery and 🧄 super fragrant throughout. Eat it with the meatballs and tomato sauce, so good 🤪😋!
