Great little place for unagi@unagiwashoku.mido , a newly opened unagi restaurant hidden on the 2nd floor of K village, lead by chef Naonobu who had been working in eel restaurant for the past 10 years. The restaurant set up is a 10 seat bar counter with simple decor, light wood tones, very initiate, very serene, very Japanese.
We tried premium Unajyu, their signature menu, and it was excellent! The eels were imported from Aichi, Japan and prepared using Tokyo method. I learned yesterday that in Tokyo, they added a steam process between grilling to make the eel very soft and tender and just melt in your mouth. After steam, then the eel went on a charcoal grill with special housemade sauce that’s umami and not overly sweet. Extra sauce and Sanshou are also available on the side. A soup and dishes came with, including pickled cucumber and wasabi stems and mozuku seaweed with wasabi that is cold and tangy, very refreshing!
Since the process of preparing this eel takes roughly 45 mins, the restaurant suggested that you call ahead so that they can prepare in advance and reduce wait time. Overall, a great place for unagi, excellent food, serene environment, great service, worth a visit in my opinion!

อูนางิร้านใหม่ตั้งอยู่ชั้น 2 เควิลเลจ นำทีมโดยเชฟ Naonobu ที่มีประสบการณ์ทำปลาไหลมาถึง10ปี ในร้านเป็นที่นั่งเคาน์เตอร์บาร์ ไม้สีอ่อน ดูเรียบง่าย บรรยากาศเป็นญี่ปุ่นมากๆ
เราลองเมนูซิกเนเจอร์ของทางร้าน Premium Unajyu ที่ใช้ปลาไหลนำเข้าจากญี่ปุ่น จังหวัดไอชิ และย่างด้วยวิธีแบบโตเกียวซึ่งต่างจากที่อื่นตรงที่จะมีการนึ่งเข้ามาเพิ่มเพื่อให้ได้เนื้อสำผัสที่นุ่มละลาย หลังนึ่งแล้วเชฟจะเอาปลาไหลไปย่างเตาถ่านกับซอสสูตรพิเศษรสชาติอูมามิหวานน้อยของทางร้านจนได้ที่ ถ้าใครอยากได้รสชาติที่เข้มข้นขึ้นทางร้านก็มีซอสและพริกไทยญี่ปุ่นให้ใส่เพิ่มได้ตามชอบ เสริฟมาพร้อมกับซุปและเครื่องเคียงที่ตัดรสได้ดี มีแตงกวาญี่ปุ่นและต้นวาซาบิดอง สาหร่ายโมซุคุกับวาซาบิ รสเปรี้ยวๆ สดชื่น
เนื่องจากทางร้านพิถีพิถันกับการย่างปลาไหล แต่ละจานใช้เวลาประมาณ 45 นาที แนะนำว่าถ้าใครสนใจเมนูนี้ โทรไปจองโต๊ะและสั่งไว้ล่วงหน้าก่อนนะคะจะได้ไม่ต้องรอนาน รวมๆถือว่าเป็นร้านที่ดีเลย อาหารอร่อย บรรยากาศสงบเงียบ เป็นส่วนตัว การบริการดี ใครชอบปลาไหลย่างลองดูนะคะ
