.
📝: Awarded multiple prizes from Gourmet Traveller, Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide, Australian Financial Review, and much more, Sokyo is one of Sydney’s best innovative Japanese fusion restaurant.
.
Head Chef Chase Kojima and his team use the finest local produce to create an imaginative menu of sashimi, tempura and melt-in-the-mouth meats cooked over the robata grill. Sokyo truly is a unique experience like no other.
.
❤️: The menu at Sokyo features creative Japanese dishes with unconventional fusion twists, designed to share. Signatures range from Seared Maguro Tataki, seasoned with carbonized leek aioli, pickled mushrooms, asparagus, and Sokyo’s smoked ponzu.
.
Next is the tempura. We had the Pumpkin Rocoto with poblano sauce, and we had to say it was the crispiest, most perfect tempura we’ve ever had.
.
Of the essential dishes, the Binchotan Grilled King Fish and Miso Glazed Dengakuman cannot be missed, the best of fish dishes here.
.
Leave some room for dessert, as the Goma Street, caramelized white chocolate, sesame ice cream did so well to impress us. What a unique experience it has been to have dined in Sokyo at the Star.
