Creation Maki and Isan-Kaya inspired dishesWent to Maji Maji for a late lunch to try their creation sushi and Isan-kaya inspired dishes. Recently opened by Chef Yindee whose experience in America shows in his creation maki.
We ordered the crazy sushi (salmon rolls, was okay, could have been spicier), flaming saba (the highlight of this meal, blowtorched table-side and came with an Isaan Jaew sauce which was great but might not be for everyone), orange dragon maki (good, had a nice crispy tempura shrimp filling and the sauce was nice, felt quite American-styled) and lastly ordered the “to die for” maki (beautiful presentation as a flower, taste was okay/good). Creation maki takes awhile to prepare but that is understandable.
Overall, a good selection of creation maki and isan-kaya offerings, would recommend if you wanted something casual and a little different from your typical Japanese restaurant.
