At first I decided on Gordon Ramsey's place coz he's a celebrity chef. Also I expected it to be very expensive because I assumed that good western food is alwayys expensive (Look at emquartier thailand). So as soon as I asked for the menu, I was pretty surprised, the price is very decent (cheaper than western food in Thailand). I asked myself will it be good?
Fish and Chips: 4/5 its very good, brings back memories of UK. The fish is aromatic and soft and the crust is browned and crispy. It goes so well with the white sauce which gives off a slight buttery taste that makes it goes very well with the fish. The chips are fried so perfectly and served hot, hence its both cripsy and the potatoes inside soft.
The beef burger 5/5 is a must have! The best is to have it medium, which allows the beef juicy blood to be soaked into the buns making it so flavourful. The beef is thick and juicy and served with a layer of cheese and sauce. I must say its the best burger I've had.
The black angus striplon steak is another must have for beef lovers 5/5. For only 60sgd, you get a big portion of beef, alone with three slightly grilled tomatoes and the sauce of your choice. The beef is selected so well that 5% of the beef has the juicy fats and the rest seems to be marbled judging from the tenderness and juiciness of the beef. The best is to have medium rare or medium, that will allow you to get the taste pf the beef.
The basket of bread assortment is on the house, and I must say, despite them being cold, its still good and goes well with the place special butter.
And its the only place where water is free in Singapore!!
