Yum open-late and full of flavor!Located near the Ganesha Temple and open late, Khoad Yum is a great stop for spicy “yum” salad at an affordable price.
“Yum” is type of Thai Salad that translates loosely to mixing various ingredients together. Typically a mix of cooked or raw meats like seafood with fresh vegetables and herbs, mixed together with chilli and lime juice to create a popular spicy, sweet, sour, and salty dish!
Khoad Yum offers a variety of different “Yums” ranging from fresh shrimp, salmon, and oysters, to fried pork belly and chicken. We came in for a late dinner, and fortunately did not have to wait for a table. We had the oysters in seafood sauce, which was fresh and creamy and paired really well with the spicy seafood sauce. The fried catfish yum was also excellent and came out light and fluffy. The fried pork belly was surprisingly good, and came covered in fried shallots which when eaten with the yum sauce was great. Overall, despite it being quite spicy, we had a great time at Khoad Yum, and will recommend for anyone interested in spicy food.
