It’s the same tier as great dim sum shops in Hong Kong.It’s the same tier as great dim sum shops in Hong Kong. In my opinion, it’s worth trying Dim-Sum here, if you do not wish to travel to Hong Kong.
Dim-sum here is thin flour with full stuff inside which is made from high-quality raw materials, and delicious at Yok Chinese restaurant
This restaurant has been on my list for a couple of years. I misunderstood that the Emerald Hotel is not just a hotel but has massage parlours and saunas inside, which made me uncomfortable to go there. The truth is it’s just an general hotel with a plethora of Chinese customers.
Yok restaurant is on the 2nd floor. It’s not too crowded; most guests are elderly Thai-Chinese families. Food is 10/10. Service is 10/10.
The top three of my favourite dishes are
1. Har Gow which has more than one shrimp inside with a very firm and crispy texture of shrimp.
2. Glutinous rice in lotus leaf, which is like Ba Jang but this one is the best Ba Jang in my life in every bite there is roast pork and Chinese sausage in small pieces, not separate each ingredient like general Ba Jang
3. Deep-fried stuffed Taro which is very crisp and tasty. It contains taro and corn soup at the base.
The buffet price for weekday lunch is 999 for 2 hours, but if you have a KTC credit card. Without using the point you will get a 15% discount, which is around 733 Thai baht plus 10% service charges and 7%vat. AIS customers also can get a 10% discount.
I will give this restaurant Is in a top-tier dim sum in Bangkok. It’s very worth the price.
