Jumuk Bap BBQ Pork • The ONLY knock on this place T_T
Best Banchan (side dishes) and MORE!When it comes to homie Korean dishes, this has got to be the best place we've been in Bangkok.
Ok, my fiancé would probably say the best thing about Kiani was Oppa the apparent owner. The nerve!
Seriously though, we were enchanted by the complimentary buffet Banchan (side dishes). We read about them in other reviews, but we were a little skeptical. I mean, seriously. If the best thing about this place was their free giveaways, could it mean the other dishes were underwhelming?
The Kimchi...best in town. Hands down!
The green vegies (spinach?), perfectly compliments the Kimchi.
The Korean pancake looking thing, couldn't stop stuffing my face.
Four refills. No shame. Oppa! One more!
Now the food.
We ordered Ramyeon. 😂 Don't judge me. When Bae's cravin' it, Bae's havin' it! And it was good. Like they just kept it simple and added decent ingredients to it. It did not taste like an instant noodle dish like we feared.
My favorite American Korean dish was always Beef Bulgogi, and this took me back! The veggies were fresh and clean, which a lot of places unfortunately neglect, but it helped put this dish over the top for me. A Must Have!
We were so happy we were about to make this the first 5-star Korean place. Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy the Jumuk Bap BBQ Pork seaweed rice balls. Too plain. The sweet sauce didn't help much either. We had better at a korean pizza place 😉 (check out my other reviews).
The best part: the price was ridiculously cheap! I think we paid 500+. We had to check twice. Great value!
But...4 stars overall. Sorry! Definitely recommend it and we're definitely coming back.
The Banchan deserved 5 stars as well as their service. Always appreciate an owner who comes out to greet his customers. Again, the Banchan were homey. Simple. Addicting. Perfect. Almost got our 5th star!
