Onyx Restaurant

A very famous steak house for travelers since the restaurant has been reviewed by many travelers in Tripadvisor but hardly known by local. The restaurant is owned by Korean and some what not elaborated in maintaining the place. The building is hidden behind a small alley with broken light sign post. Inside is rustic, dull with no decoration and not many seats. However people trend to ignore this atmosphere and willing to wait for a table, full with hope of enjoyable delicious steak. Food is really, really good. Steak is very well prepared. Salad is very delicious, especially the bacon salad. Wine is good and cheap. Be careful when ordering since the serve is very large. We ordered special Onyx beef steak once and it came out like a kilo of beef! The most favorite for me here is the music they turn on, smooth jazz, that's why many visitors are at the bar, having drink while waiting for a table. A must try one here in Yangon, I recommend making a reservation to secure the seat but not on Friday, they don't take a booking on Friday.
